Generic Structure of Descriptive Text
When writing descriptive text, there are some generic structures (actually not mandatory) for our writing to be true. The arrangement is:
# Identification: (contains about the introduction of a person, place, animal or object will be described.)
# Description: contains a description of something such as animal, things, place or person by describing its features, forms, colors, or anything related to what the writer describe.
Purpose of Descriptive text
– To describe person, thing or place in specific
– To describe a particular person, thing or place.
Language Feature of Descriptive Text
– Specific participant : has a certain object, is not common and unique (only one). for example: Bandengan beach, my house, Borobudur temple, uncle Jim
– The use of the adjective (an adjective) to clarify the noun, for example: a beautiful beach, a handsome man, the famous place in jepara, etc.
– The use of simple present tense: The sentence pattern used is simple present because it tells the fact of the object described.
– Action verb: verbs that show an activity (for example, run, sleep, walk, cut etc….
now we discuss about the General Museum DR. Abdul Haris Nasution (Abbreviated A.H. Nasution). Just like Sasmitaloka Ahmad Yani, the museum is located at Jalan Teuku Umar No. 40 This also became a silent witness to the cruelty of the G.30S / PKI gang.
Before becoming a museum, this house was previously the private residence of General AH Nasution since he served as Army Chief of Staff (Army Chief of Staff) until his death on September 6, 2000. Furthermore, the family moved houses & renovated the house even though there were several parts keep it original. After the renovation, it coincided with the birth of General A.H. Nasution (3 December 2008) the house was turned into a museum and was inaugurated by the then President of Indonesia, Mr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.
In this house also happened a tragic event that almost killed the general. On the night of October 1, 1965, the G.30S / PKI gang attempted to kidnap & kill him, but this failed. Unfortunately this incident took the life of his daughter Ade Irma Suryani who was accidentally shot and his aide Captain Piere Andreas Tendean who was arrested by the kidnappers because they thought he was the general and eventually died in Lubang Buaya with the 6 other Revolutionary Heroes. Inside The Museum The first room a Traveler first visits is the Living Room. It was in this room that General A.H. Nasution received his guests. In this room, there are various kinds of collections such as guest tables & chairs, bust of General A.H. Nasution, several memorable photos and various kinds of souvenir collections such as miniature cannons & tanks, several award plaques and souvenir elephant ivory from the Garuda III brigade. From the living room, the next room is the Study Room. D this room is where General A.H. Nasution carried out his duties as an Army Staff. In this room there are various collections of books belonging to General A.H. Nasution, the father's table and chairs & mannequins at work, souvenir photos and several award certificates.
From the den, the next room is the VIP Living Room. It was in this room that General A.H. Nasution received several important guests. Just like the front living room, in this room there are also various kinds of collections such as tables & chairs, keepsakes & photo collections.
While heading for the next room, a Traveler will see several Tjakrabirawa mannequins. This mannequin shows a diorama of events at the time of the kidnapping on the night of October 1. Along the way there are also various kinds of photographs of General A.H. Nasution while still on duty.
The next room is the bedroom. In this room a tragic incident occurred where Ade Irma Suryani Nasution, the daughter of General A.H. Nasution was shot by a gang of kidnappers who forced their way into the general's bedroom. This can be seen from the presence of bullet holes in the entrance to the room & the small table in the room. The collections in this room include the original bed, memorable photos, the wardrobe containing the clothes of General A.H. Nasution, a collection of shoes and chairs with bullet marks and a mannequin from General A.H. Nasution who described him at the time of the kidnapping incident.
From the next room Gamad Room (Army Uniform). As the name implies, this room holds various collections of army uniforms that have been used by General A.H. Nasution and several collections of commando sticks that he had ever used. In this room there is also a diorama mannequin when General A.H. Nasution escaped from the kidnappers by climbing the wall of the house while looking at his wife (Johanna Sunarti Nasution) & his son who were shotx
Weapon Room. As the name implies, this room holds various collections of weapons ranging from traditional weapons to mementos from various regions of Indonesia, to firearms collected by General A.H. Nasution and the weapons used by the kidnappers to shoot Ade Irma Suryani.
From the weapon room, next is the Ade Irma Room. As the name implies, this room contains various items owned by Ade Irma Suryani. Apart from personal belongings, in this room there are cots & sticks that were used to care for General A.H. Nasution, the shirt & cruk used by General A.H. Nasution to remove the bodies of the Revolutionary Heroes and some clothes belonging to General A.H. Nasution & also Ade Irma Suryani. In this room there is also the last photo of Ade Irma Suryani with Piere Tendean.
From Ade Irma's room, next is the Dining Room. It was in this room that Nasution's mother met the kidnappers while carrying her child who was covered in blood as a result of being shot by a gang of kidnappers. This can be seen from the diorama of the mannequin, which is the figure of a mother holding Ade Irma Suryani, covered in blood, meeting the kidnappers who were pointing weapons at her while looking for the whereabouts of General A.H. Nasution. The collections in this room include a family dining table, several plaque collections, a collection of cups & cups, a collection of dinner plates, paintings and some other trinkets.
From the dining room, the next is the Heraldika Room (Service Signs & Rank Signs). Following its name, this room contains various collections of Service Signs & Rank Signs received by General A.H. Nasution
From the heraldica room, we go to the backyard of the house. In the backyard of the house there is an official car belonging to General A.H. Nasution used during his indicators. Towards the exit, a Traveler can see a painting of General A.H. Nasution started as a child until he died.
From the backyard, tourists can see a small house in front of the museum. This house used to be the residence of General A.H.'s aides. Nasution. It was in this house that Captain Piere Andreas Tendean was arrested by a gang of kidnappers who thought he was General A.H. Nasution. Now this house is home to the diorama of "The Piere Tendean Kidnapping".
Next to this house there is a small room called the Diorama Room. In this room, a Traveler can make a military career journey from General A.H. Nasution started from the Bandung Lautan Api incident, the Hijrah Siliwangi, the 2nd Dutch Military Aggression and the MPRS Session.
